Organization: International School of New Media (ISNM)
Duration: 40 lecture hours / 4 CP (Start: Dezember 2007, End: February 2008)

Content:
The streaming course deals with a variety of aspects for media streaming in the Internet from a technology point of view. Starting from the low-level network aspects of real-time data transmission on packet-oriented networks, protocols and adaptive algorithms for streaming will be discussed. The course will also cover Quality-of-Service aspects, content-delivery networks and new upcoming media standards, like interactive Digital Television.
Participants are expected to participate in a team project, realising an interactive, context-aware streaming portal supporting mobile devices.

All course material will be available as *.pdf files which can be viewed in a freely available Acrobat pdf-viewer from Adobe, the »Acrobat Reader«: Please look at   »Acrobat Reader«.

The *.zip files are compressed files. You have to install »WinZip« on your machine to open it. »WinZip« can also be downloaded at   http://www.winzip.com.

For those of you, who want to print several slides on one page to save paper and printer ink (good idea!) I would recommend to use any free printer tool like fineprint:
