Learning is a process of acquiring new knowledge. Learning happens either formally or informally. Formal learning has been considered as the primary source for knowledge acquisition thereby completely ignoring the informal aspects of learning. Recent studies show the importance and rise of informal learning humans are more used to learning informally than formally. Aim of this study is to find better means of learning informally pervasive environments such as campuses. Campus learning now is mostly confined to the traditional classroom learning. However, with the use of digital and pervasive technologies, learning can now be extended by finding and establishing approaches for informal learning. This study proposes a game-based, pervasive computing approach for an informal learning experience and tries to show howaspects of informal learning helps in better knowledge acquisition, understanding, and learning of the contextual information.
