PanelTalk: Design of a Virtual Agent-based Access Control and Building Information System

PanelTalk is a virtual agent-based access control and building information system this is a wall-mounted touch screen based system, and on the side of the screen there be an animated character, which responds with through voice. PanelTalk is a multi-function system, which can provide different functions to the users, either its security or information. The basic services of the system are to provide access control and request information such as room locater, search employees, search departments and different kind of system help. The purpose of this thesis project has been to make security & information available for different users at the same time taking this idea into consideration tried to structure such a system which provides security as well as a door access control and information, which is quite simple, easy and has the ability to interact with users through animated character and feedback is given to the users that it is perceived human-like communication with them, those users can enjoy as well as obtain the required information.
